Hypericon (Featured Guest)

  • Clarion Inn – Murfreesboro 2227 Old Fort Parkway Murfreesboro, TN 37129 (map)

The most iconic stories and tales in human culture start with a simple question: “WHAT IF…” It is that creative spark – that fuel for the imagination – which we celebrate at Hypericon.

We believe the digital world in which we thrive to be most complete when enhanced by the tactile experiences of fan culture. The flip of the page, the roll of the dice, the handshake or embrace of dear friends we have taken on as our family. Our event combines this spirit with the excitement and buzz of the wildly-popular comic-con atmosphere with unique events and a thriving social scene, day and night, to thrill our audience and deliver an experience that transcends both media and culture.

There are decades of experience within our team in non-profit management, event production, marketing and branding, entertainment, education, public safety and other key skills necessary to operate a successful event. We understand that even a fan-run convention is a business effort and cannot be operated like a book club or a family reunion. Our attendees depend on us to master the intricate details necessary to providing an engaging experience, our partners and sponsors trust us to deliver a desirable enhancement to their brands and goals, and our peers look to us regularly as an example and resource within the fandom community.

We are the experts on masterminding fun fan events which serve to not only entertain but educate – and along the way do a lot of good for very worthy causes.

As a social mission, we have committed to promoting literacy through popular arts and media, supporting the creative culture of fandom through making, crafting, costuming, visual and performing arts, and connecting enthusiasts of all ages and all genres to the foundations of their fandom. While fostering the convention environment of learning, socializing, and expanding imaginations, we seek to provide material benefits to our charitable efforts, aligning these stated goals and value with community support.
